Boogie Nights

In Boogie Nights we have the character of Eddie Adams of Torrance, just your average red-blooded American teen, with a love for fast cars, Bruce lee, and disco dancing. But one day something happens to Eddie, something “magical” – he becomes Dirk Diggler/Brock Landers. This character of Dirk/Brock allows Eddie to live out his dreams and do things we would never imagine doing as just plain Eddie. Eddie as Dirk soon builds up a new group of friends, people with similar alter-egos, but this group is so cut off from the rest of the world that they pretty much only associate with each other, and have a hard time “making it” in the real world. Soon Eddie all but does away with his former self and becomes Dirk full time. No one refers to him as Eddie anymore. Women only respond to the Dirk character and not Eddie. Eddie is lost in the fire that is Dirk Diggler’s life, never to return.

Demon Knights

In Demon Knights we have the character of Jason of Norwich, just your average red-blooded sorcerers apprentice, with a love for potions and owls, fair maidens. But one day something happens to Jason, something “magical” – he becomes The Demon/Etrigan. The character of The Demon/Etrigan allows Jason to live out his dreams and do things we would never imagine doing as just plain Jason. Jason as Etrigan soon builds up a new group of friends, people with similar alter-egos, but this group is cut off from the rest of the world that they pretty much only associate with each other, and have a hard time “making it” in the real world. Soon Jason will all but do away with his former self and become Etrigan full time. No one will refer to him as Jason anymore. Women only respond to the Etrigan character and not Jason. Jason is lost in the fire that is The Demon, never to return.
