Oh sweet Je–

Seriously what’s a man gotta do to have a good Deadpool writer? Daniel Way is killing it on the (first) ongoing series but so far no one else can write a good Merc with a Mouth. Plus how about some good art in a Deadpool comic? I remember Chris Staggs doing a good section in the Deadpool #900 but here it’s just…..blah.

It doesn’t help to learn that Adam Glass is a writing partner of Mike Benson. Clearly they have the same talent of writing Deadpool and that talent would be zero. I mean there is a chuckle here or there, but the overall read is just not funny. Plus the story is just contrived and having the Ghost Riders in here just doesn’t do anything for me. It’s a first for a team up but it isn’t memorible.

I am very close to just dropping this series. It had a very good first issue by Van Lente but so far it has had nothing but medicore creative talent’s ever since that issue. There is potential in this series but Marvel is just squandering it by not putting good talent in the book. Considering what the next team up will be next issue, I fear this will be the penultimate issue for me reading it.
