Is Deadpool’s 15 minutes of Marvel fame up yet?

I hope not.

After the severely lackluster Deadpool special that came out a few weeks ago, I was nervous about how this series would pan out.  I can’t even believe this is the same writer.  I mean, it didn’t change my life, but it also didn’t make me want to hunt him down and smash his laptop.    Barberi is also a much better choice of penciller for Deadpool.

All in all, a pretty good Deadpool story.

Story: 4 - Very Good

  1. I’m going to take your word for it.  I Fucking love the current deadpool series.  I bought the last special that he did and I didnt even read it because of the reviews.

  2. @twooldridge: If I’d realized it was the same author who wrote the last special, I wouldn’t have picked it up, either.  BUt it really was a much better comic.

  3. I was going to skip this title, but I’m glad I read this review. I too felt jipped from the previous one-shot, so I’m in the same boat as the rest of you.

  4. My LCS pulled it for me because I read the DP ongoing, but I put it back on the rack.  Should I go back and pick it up?  Wait for trade?

  5. I’m going to wait this out. I was super dissapointed with the annual.

  6. Very solid Deadpool.  I liked it much better than the one-shot.  You guys should read Benson’s Moon Knight.  It’s very good.

  7. I suggest reading this in issues, but I work in a store, so I’m a bit biased.  I promise it is nothing like the annual. I’ll have to check out Moon Knight.
