“This has got to be the worst alternate universe ever” Yup it is, and thats why its so fun. This is a total mashup of the marvel universe that is purely absurd. Characters, costumes…all mixed up in a blender in a sort of Bizarro world where the only real constant is that deadpool is still a wise cracking idiot that someone winds up victorious.

Layman does an interesting job with the character that is so fashionable to hate. He pokes fun at comic book conventions such as editorial notes, continuity, and henchmen names and creates this funny story that reminds us all that its ok to take our comics a little less seriously.

So far this has been a fun series that i feel is flying under a lot of people’s radar’s. Check it out..its kinda goofy.

Comments

  1. Without Deadpool to set the tone, this wouldn’t work with just Spider-Man and the Hulk.

  2. good point, deadpool is needed for the wackiness.

  3. It would very mediocre. It’s sort of like how he makes X-Force work.

  4. I really hope they reprint these three in one collected issue.  I think the story would be a great read one after another.
