This issue is all over the place for me.

Even though this is a three issue arc, I think, this story gets so compressed right off the bat. Why couldn’t we have this issue be fully on Deadpool’s case to be legally insane? It seems like Daniel Way had some good ideas with She-Hulk as his attorney but it gets thrown away really quickly. Then we go into the doctor that is going to ‘heal’ Deadpool and quite frankly you can see where that’s going right away. Then we quickly go into Deadpool being inside the mental facility and none of the jokes work for me. In fact the only good part of this book is the beginning and again I can’t imagine why this couldn’t be the full issue.

Other then Carlos Barberi’s artwork, which is great to see again on this book, there is nothing worthwhile about this issue. A lot of plot points get thrown around like a dart and it never really lands on a good spot. Maybe a re-write should have been in order before the issue was solicitated. I don’t know, but what I do know is that this issue did nothing for me.

Story: 2 - Average
Art: 4 - Very Good
