Alright I gotta try hard to impress the Ifanboy Trinity here, cause they dont want to have anything to do with this series. So what could I say that could make them come on?……

THIS IS THE FUNNIEST, MOST EXCITING, AND BALLS TO THE WALL COMIC YOU’LL READ IN YOUR LIFE!!!!!!!!!

Okay that’s a lie, I guess I dont know what will make you naysayers of Deadpool come on but I will repeat what I’ve been saying for the past two issues: This is a fun and entertaining series. It’s beating a dead horse but Way is good at writing Deadpool and is good with the comedic timing here. Whether it’s Deadpool thinking Nick Fury is a baby, to the fate of all the Deadpool clones, or just Deadpool breaking the forth wall; it all works here. The art, again, is good that it fits the tone of the series. Cartoony coloring and shading all around and I wish this could be made into a cartoon….for the Adult Swim network anyways.

My only gripe with this issue was the long exposition to get to the fate of the clones. (I forgot Deadpool had cancer and that’s why he went to Weapon X but you dont need to have a whole page explaining it to us) Plus it goes right into serious mode with the last couple of pages and I can only assume that the last page is a spark of something big that will happen once this invasion ends. Still it was another fun issue and I cant wait to see what we can see this series do with the tie-in’s out of the way.

Story: 4 - Very Good
Art: 4 - Very Good

  1. Agreed that it was good, but it was not as good as the two prior issues. Something was off – maybe the timing, maybe the art, but something.

  2. @coltrane: I think it was Deadpool explaining to the Skrull why the clones started to turn into sickly cancer patients….I understand some people dont remember why Deadpool went to weapon X in the first place (hell I forgot as well), but we didnt need a whole page of explaination of it. That kinda made the rest of the issue feel rushed but overall it was still soild.

  3. @tnc

good observation – that might have been what messed up the pacing.
