This book is like Colt 45.  It's certainly not among the best, but it's not horrible and it gets the job done.  I'm still puzzled as to why this is titled with the more relevant and marketable  "JLA" tag instead of "DCU".  Anyway, despite that this story is a little corny and a little forced, it's crafted fairly well for what it is.  In the first issue, the candidate endorsement was little more than background noise.  Second issue, in the midst of the investigation, it's becoming more and more of a distraction, thematically.  And, with Bruce throwing his hat in, you have to wonder if this is all another symptom of the mind control... especially since Ollie seems to be aware he was "railroaded" into his endorsement.  The major problem here is the art, especially on poses (Hal looks like he's about to fall over for most of the early scenes), and what exactly is up with Lois' eyes?  For that matter, when did she become a TV reporter?  I missed that one.
