I knew there was a reason I didn’t read this.  I had it in my stack and everything, but I put it back on the shelves instead of reading it.  Thanks for saving me the frustration, and for the synopsis.

Well, that was a very entertaining recap, anyway!

I kind of hope Ron does a page by page recap of this, like he does with X-Men Forever.

Actually, I thought this one was a lot of fun. The mentions of "Allgod" are because "Weapon XVI" is a living religion that infects people and turns them into zombies. Pretty clever. Aaron picked up on a thread from Morrison’s X-men run. The story itself is full of Morrisonesque ideas and riffs — Marvel Boy has to kiss the brain of the living complex called "The World" because it’s just come to life, and therefore it’s still a virgin and is confused about sexuality. Hysterical. And the whole plot is "a waste of time" because Fantomex "steals" the whole complex at the end, by shrinking it down and pocketing it.

Dunno. Didn’t dislike it nearly as much as the reviewer. :D I think i gave it a solid 3.

@daccampo  The idea of Aaron riffing on Morrison definitely interests me.  On the other hand, I hate Fantomex with the fire of 1000 suns (and haven’t much cared for JA’s Logan, either).

@ohcaroline – I probably wouldn’t bother picking this up (as if you were going to, ;) ). It’s interesting, but it’s NOT quite to Morrison levels — comes off as more of an homage. The plot is silly and ultimately fairly slight. LIke i said,  3 for me, but it’s not gonna make you suddenly love Fantomex. ;)
