So After writing the extensive review on the first 6 issues (counting issue 0) which can be found here I felt the need to review this one as well.

Conan The Cummerian, along with Solomon Kane, have both become books that I can’t wait for each month.  It seemed like forever since I read issues 0-6 of this book.  The ending did not disappoint.  Actually the most disappointing part about this book was when I saw that the team was changing for the next arc.  Truman seems to really get the character, along with my other favorte Conan writer Busiek.

Truman did a great job wrapping up the two parallel stories happening in this arc.  We get to see Connacht pass on traveling ways to Conan.  It was really neat to see how the end of one story was somewhat of a passing of the baton to the other.

The main story was also finished.  Partly the way I thought it would and partly not.  I’m glad that the story returned to status quo of Conan, but also slightly saddened.  Overall this was a great end to a great story.  If you don’t feel like seeking out the issues, I highly recommend getting this in trade when it comes out.

The art team on this book once again delivered.  Both stories’ teams really knew how to catch the feeling of this book and I really hope they come back with Truman to do some great Conan later.  The coloring is overall amazing on this book, more books could learn from what these guys have been doing.

If my review seems general, it’s because I tried to keep it that way.  I don’t want someone wandering onto this review to read the spoilers so that they don’t have to read this book at some point.  Go forth and read the awesomness that has been Conan the Cimmerian!

Also a side note, unless someone else picks this for their POW and does a review, I make up for 0.43% of the iFanbase.

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 5 - Excellent
