When I was six or seven, my grandfather started buying me books on tape for when my parents would take me on long car trips.  And the first one he bought me was Alice In Wonderland.  It’s one of three of those audiobooks that have stayed with me to the point where I can almost recite them word for word (the other two being The Wind In The Willows and Whoever Heard Of A Fird?).  As a result, reading the actual book is often difficult for me, because I can still hear the voice actor (whose name I don’t remember) reading the words in my head.

I had to put this book down for a while because it’s word for word the book (with some abridgement) and I just couldn’t get that damned voice out of my head.  But the art was great, and the story is the story.  I’ll probably buy the trade when it comes out, but right now I just couldn’t get into it (through know fault of the creative team).

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 4 - Very Good
