This series just keeps getting better.  Layman and Guillory (because, really, both are artists, and both are writing this story together) use this issue to twist several plotlines from the first four issues together, and, simultaneously, give a fantastic ending to “Book One” of the story, and get the reader amped up for the next story.

Mike Tyson moment, notwithstanding, the characters in this issue shine as some of the most well-fleshed out and complex characters in comics right now.   And, the panel placement, coloring, backgrounds, and very spare changes in facial grammar creat an amusing, and partially terrifying vision of Layman and Guillory’s future.  I am beyond excited that this comic keeps building momentum, even after such a phenomenal start.
