In the back matter of this comic, the creators refer to this as “a bit of a quiet issue”. This just goes to show that Layman and Guillory are one of the rare creative teams that can make something “a bit quietly awesome.”

I love the signs in the background nearly as much as I love the plot line. And I’m very excited for July’s “Special Agent: Ponyo” side story.

This is, and will probably for many years be, the book I recommend to people looking to branch out from superhero comics. I’m really impressed that the series has remained so consistently amazing.
