Well, dammit, why does Brubaker have to leave?
Seriously, he sets up a riveting new status quo that changes every
thing he set up and leaves it for the new guy. And it's not like Diggle
won't do a great job, but this issue wrapped up so many dangling plot
threads, that I'd absolutely love to see where he would take it after
this. The whole thing is I can't tell you what the story arc names
were. This entire run felt so organic and natural that one thing just
followed another and it flowed together.
The art was spectacular her as
well. It was nice to see Turk actually do something worth while instead
of just be a punching bag for a change.
Diggle's story peaked my interest, even if the art was only okay
The back up story was okay. I
remember when I loved Nocienti, but compared to Bru's stuff it was
embarrassing. On the other hand, Aja was was that much more on point.
The opening sequence was gorgous and if the story had stayed wordless
it would have only been better.
The pin up gallery was nice, but it
proves to me that Bendis needs to stay on writing.
The Frank Miller
reprint was a Frank Miller on DD, and that is all that needs to be said
about that
Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 5 - Excellent
I thought Bendis did a nice little piece. Good for him.
