Winick as shown Catwoman the way I’ve always seen her; gracious, agile, sexy and gritty.

This girl has scars and problems, big problems, though she’s more than able to fix them. Yes there’s sex aplenty in this issue, but it kinda fits with the character and her view of Gotham, so I don’t mind much. It read a bit like Sin City from Frank Miller, which is a good thing (for me as I’m a fan!). Though your normal “goody goody” superhero book this ain’t. So Winick’s story was an awesome read for me and I can’t wait to see where this goes!

Guillem March’s art is awesome, he captures the feline movements of Selina perfectly and makes everything move and believable while still retaining this “pulp” look to the panel layout and the panels themselves.

The colors are also quite strong, Selina’s green eyes pop, her red lips while she’s incognito in the mobsters lair is beyond words and it gives a nice contrast to the “cold” tones mainly used in this book.

So yeah, I liked it, a lot, but it’s probably not everyone’s cup of tea. For fans of gritty, sexy and violent comic books!
