I got more than a little giddy when I looked at the cover and I saw that Acuna did the art. I love his stuff. His retro, modern, pulpy style is the shot in the arm that the art on this book needs. Epting defined the look for this era of Cap, but the artist that have followed have fallen into the trap of more than likely being told to draw like him. It’s not there fault, it is what it is. That’s why I was glad to see an artist with a strong look helping to tell this story. With the last arc I feel that this book is on a story telling upswing, but the art was just not solid. Hopefully Acuna will be on this book for the rest of the arc to keep the look consistent.
