I’m just going to review the monkey cover here.  While I am indeed opposed to variant covers like this and I think that the whole Marvel Apes thing as a whole is a stupid idea, I didn’t know this one would be Frank Cho’s art.  I love his art almost as much as Frank Cho loves monkeys, which he certainly does, as anyone who has read Liberty Meadows can attest.  After all, when portraying himself in the strip, he drew himself as a chimpanzee.  Awesome cover though.  I would have given the art a 4, but a Frank Cho cover throws it up to a 5 for me.

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 5 - Excellent

  1. Lol! A 5 for a review of the cover?!? Ok, but how did the story get a 5 then?

  2. This is a poor excuse for a review. There are many in the ifanbase who give a lot of thought to their reviews and this one pushes them to the side to comment on monkeys. Sad.

  3. Greatest monkey cover review ever. And I ENTIRELY agree with every word.

  4. Thank you @BatStewie!

And @RipperSix, if you read my other reviews, I definitely give a lot of thought to my reviews, but I agree with Josh, Ron, and Conor about Cap.  There’s really no point in reviewing it, its consistently fantastic.  This cover gave me the oppurtunity to say something about Cap that hasn’t already been said a thousand times.

@patio, the story got a 5 cuz it was awesome.  Isn’t that how this works?

  5. All right, @ActualButt, I’ll try out your other reviews. I’m glad I can give you a hard time and you bounce back with something other than a "yo momma". I can’t promise not to pick a fight with your other reviews, but I will definitely read them.

  6. Oh, and I think @patio’s point was that you didn’t tell use what about the story earned it a 5 rating.
