Just a note right off the top: if you're planning to read this and Mighty Avengers #21, read this first! I didn't, and that made this issue lose some of its impact. Otherwise, there really isn't all that much to say. This was a good set up issue. If you're able to buy into the conceit of "Dark Reign", that the U.S. government is willing to turn the keys over to a known psychopath, then you'll enjoy watching Bendis slowly unveil what Normie has got in store for the Marvel U. In the art department, I liked Deodato on Thunderbolts and he is right at home here. Both books had a darker tone that his art is well suited for. I'm staying out of spoiler country, so I'll just say that none of the identities of the new line-up really shocked me. Is it a spoiler to say that The Sentry is a wussy in this comic? Nah. Didn't think so.
