I’d been wondering when we would get back to the Martian Manhunter in this series, and with this issue, it finally happens.  The only problem, really, is that nothing much seems to happen.  In fact, nothing much really happened in this issue.  I know I’ve said before that this is a series with the end game in mind, but man, it would be nice if they would reward the reader with something every now and then.  The reveal at the end was definitely interesting, and of course, Deadman’s story is certainly engaging because there’s so much mystery around it.  Not surprisingly, I’m completely confused about what’s going with Firestorm, and I wish we could get some more Aquaman (although, I’m sure they’re saving the big story for another Rebirth series).  Overall, this issue wasn’t great, and it wasn’t terrible.  It was just very average.
