Holy Hanna-Barrera Batman! This issue was Awesome! Much like all the previous issues of this highly underrated Character’s series has been! I had a lot of fun with this, the interactions with all the Blue Beetles and then the play on meeting people from the past and future from events that are happening now that have already happened, awesome! (so ‘nifty’ has been changed to ‘awesome’ it seems?) I love the time travel paradox stuff and WHAT an ending! How are they going to fix this! Also…. I didn’t tick Spoilers, but there are subtle hints as to things that happen, nothing flat out, but if your reading this part just be warned, I don’t think they’ll spoil the story for you, if anyone has a problem with me not ticking it, don’t read any further, leave a comment and I’ll ‘edit’ with the box ticked for others.

Story – 3
The Story was good, kinda felt like they are just teasing us with the whole Rescue of Ted and the whole future Blue Beetle guy, something fishy with him, I doubt we’ve seen the last of that guy, awesome ending, I am ready and rearing to get the next issue to see where this is leading us, but on a whole I wish there was a bit more story here, if what I THINK is going to happen happens, it’ll mean that this was a kind of pointless issue, not pointless, but they should have ended certain conversations faster and gotten onto the real crux of the issue (the part at the end) faster and given us a few more teasers/ questions for the next issue.

Art – 3
I really liked this art, the lines were really well done, everyone had such classic yet new styled faces, everyone had different eyes! they just all felt so unique and flowy, like motion in ink. Speaking of ink, the job done by Mr Gentile was really good, can’t say he’s a new favourite, but I liked it. The page (4?) with Dan close up to the panel querying Ted about not using the Scarab beetle, brilliant, and “Hal’s” expressions when he seems the Time Sphere, priceless.

Overall – 3
Overall, I had a lot of fun, it was a really enjoyable romp around the time stream and can’t wait for the next issue, the pacing was well handled (not doing a 5th para), but if what I think is going to happen happens (as stated above) I feel this may have been dragged out too long, if not, then it was wicked good and I’m in for a great ride….. and you should be too, so go get it, read it and enjoy it….. then rip it up and buy it again so these guys keep making more!
