Extra books like this enable event writers to add a little more personality to their work.  This 2nd issue, as in the 1st issue, gives 3 tales helping us to understand the dynamics and personalities of each ring chosen.  Red/Rage, Sapphire/Love, and Orange/Greed.  My favorite of the 3 stories is the first.  Rage born of the death of a loved one at the hands of a Sinestro henchman. 

The concept of using all of the colors of the spectrum to fit each basic emotion is brilliant in its simplicity.  I like the fact that each color either compliments/contradicts the power of another.  I also like the idea that Green is the only power ring that is balanced, thus being the eye of the storm. 

Most of my enjoyment, humorously enough, came from the final two pages where the concepts for the design of each ring are expouded upon.  There has been a tremendous amount of thought and care put into these stories and nothing that is seen on these pages is insignificant.  I love that.  The creators of this event have made these comics very personal and intimate to its readers and that is not an easy task to achieve.
