After the brutality and beauty of the first issue, this second book was a slight let down. That’s not to say it isn’t good, because it was definitely a good read and takes us further into the Blackest Night. However, the pacing was a bit slower than the first, and while there is a bloody death of a character, it didn’t resonate like those at the end of the first. Perhaps this book suffers merely by following the first. But I will keep reading this miniseries and look forward to each book!
