COLORED BY: TBD - HIGH

I picked this book as my pick of the week because the Peter/Jessica scene was one of the best Bendis moments since the truly creepy nine-page conversation between Norman Osborn and Bob Reynolds in last week's Dark Avengers Issue 3.  I picked it despite unbelievable terrible artwork from Billy Tan and hurried, substandard fill-in pages from Chris Bachalo, whom I usually don't mind at all.  But I picked it nonetheless, because if you read it in dim light and squint really hard and use a rather large amount of imagination, well, then you can just pretend Gaydos drew it.  God, I wish Gaydos drew it.

I have to admit, I don't have any real problem with the art on this book, but I would totally be down with Gaydos doing it.

And I did a literal fist pump when Peter unmasked.  As corny as it sounds, I was *proud* of him at that moment, because I really thought he might walk away from the Avengers rather than doing it.

Totally--in the post BND world, who knew how that moment would go?  I was so happy.
