Where last week’s Before Watchmen had all of the expectations loaded onto it by me, this one I just wanted to see what it was like. And I really liked it! It was just so much more fun and had a much more straightforward plot. I’m really glad that Amanda’s co-scripting this because it really brings out a female perspective that I find so refreshing. I liked the sense of nostalgia that permeated the story & art. In a good way, it reminded me of a romance comic, but one where the girl is a superhero and is going to have the adventures. I will definitely buy the rest of this mini if for no other reason than for Conner’s art which is just luscious. I don’t care if this story ever ties in to the story in the Watchmen and I kinda hope it doesn’t.

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 5 - Excellent
