I didn’t learn anything new from reading Batwoman #0.  It was like the only purpose of reading the issue was to catch up on what the Kanes have been up to since their story arc in Detective wrapped up.  I never figured out why Batwoman was trying to intercept that sarcophagus from the Religion Of Crime folks, but I suspect that it’s because she believes that her sister could be the contents of such container.

The artwork is just as beautiful as always though!!  JH Williams is definitely one of my favorite artists in the industry right now, and I’m not even a big fan of artwork.  I usually buy comics more for the story and less for the art, but when JH Williams is on pencil duties, I actually do the opposite!!  The layouts are just as fun and interesting as they always are.  If you are a proud owner of the Batwoman in Detective hardcover, or a poor sap who still has nothing but the issues of the arc like me, you’ll enjoy looking at this issue just as much also.

While there isn’t enough story here to say if it is good or bad, the issue is worth $2.99 just to look at the pretty pictures!! 

I can’t wait to see more of JH Williams and Batwoman when the time comes.  Let’s just hope that JH and the co-writer have a lot more to say in the upcoming arc than what they had to say right here because I could see myself losing interest in buying these comics exclusively for the visuals.  It could feel like doing Mushrooms without the body high after a while, you know?  (Don’t answer that)
