I had no plans on reading this comic has my hate for all things Batman: The Dark Knight knows no bounds – but I heard The Joker shows up in this issue and I was interested to see him based on how the last time we saw the Joker he was getting his face cut off.
Well, I would rather of had my own face cut off then ever read this piece of shit again.
Everything about this comic feels wrong. Robin shows up in this issue, but I’m pretty sure it was the Jason Todd Robin from 1988 and not Damian Wayne. Damian would NEVER call for back-up.
It is explained why Two-Face looks like The Hulk – some kind of steroid drug was injected into him – but I know the real reason, because it’s much more fun for Finch to draw.
Oh and what of the Joker you ask? Well, he shows up at the end with his face looking pretty fucking attached to me. No stitches, no bandaids, no nothing! Are they just doing away with the story line that Daniel is telling in Detective Comics? This makes no sense to me. Perhaps Batman: The Dark Knight takes place before the events in DET, but no mention of that is said. And guess what, he looks like The Hulk.
Fucking Bullshit.

Great art but the story is awful.
Re: The stuff about the Joker showing up with his face in tact. I don’t know why you’re singling Finch’s book out for this kind of stuff. For example, Two-Face appeared in Snyder’s Batman and he wasn’t hulked-out. The Joker (really Dick in disguise) appeared in Snyder’s first issue as well. I don’t remember anyone saying “Hey, wouldn’t they know it’s not the Joker since his face isn’t cut off?” You just have to accept that all of these books take place in different parts of continuity. To single out Finch’s book like this feels like excessive criticism to me. Not that I like Finch, but it’s annoying to see him get criticized for things that “golden boy” Snyder gets a free pass on.
Two-Face reverted back to normal after the “hulking” drug wore off.
