Like many others, I found myself comparing this issue to Batman and Robin #18. While that one had the “unique” feature of being a silent issue with much praise (well deserved), I enjoyed this one more. Aside from having two artists, I thought this was a very good issue.
I felt that Morrison nails how Batman, my Batman, would react to the death. Not by being overtly agro, but rather plotting like a psychopath to get back at the League/Leviathon.
I love Chris Burnham, but for some reason, I feel that his art is better served for goofy/old school stories and not tragedies. To me he is a cartoony Quietly, if that makes any sense. Having said that, the guy is a master, and we’re all lucky that he does all these issues.

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 4 - Very Good
