Urgh! I get what Morrison is doing. I respect that. But I would have loved the art to have been like the cover instead of how Clark did it.

I’m also having trouble as to why one would want to do business using avatars and have all your life savings depend it.

But I might be turning into an oldman … now GET OFF MY LAWN dang kids!!

  1. Haven’t read this issue yet but I agree theoretically with you on a couple points.

-The cover not matching the interior: This is what you get when you have random artists doing the covers and then not doing the interiors. I hate how much DC is doing this lately. I like the one-off covers from random artists, but when the interiors are radically different, it just causes more trouble.

-And, yeah, the very idea that we all have to do business as “virtually” as possible is a bubble that has already burst. Just because something’s “digital” doesn’t mean it’s actually going to be the wave of the future. Virtual meetings are a decent tool that some businesses have been using for the past decade. But the trend isn’t really escalating. It’s plateaued. If this idea came out in a comic in 2002, then I might find it reasonably prophetic. Now it almost seems quaint.

    • You make the points better than I do. I only came back to reading comics in 2009 and the main reason I didn’t like them was because it was jarring how the cover was different than the interiors.

About the Virtual business, you’re totally right on. I know it’s difficult to make hacking and computing fun, but I would have liked a mixture of live action Batman and Oracle going back and forth on solving one problem.
