With all the batbooks on the shelves these months, I’ve not found any reason to pick up Bataman Confidential.  But when I saw Sam Kieth had written and illustrated this issue, I had to pick it up and see if it was talented and focused Sam Keith, or Look At Me I Draw Stories About Little Frizzy Haired Girls In Glasses, And My Characters Look Different In Every Panel Sam Keith.  Unfortuntately, the latter showed up on this one.

As much as I love Keith’s early works, they were flawed.  They showed great potential as a writer.    A potential, he has never reached.  He keeps writing the same tropes over and over, and yet he hasn’t perfected them.

While this wasn’t as bad as his awful Batman/Lobo book from a couple of years ago, it wasn’t so good that I had any desire to finish it.
