Its embarrassing admission time……I think this book is better than “Batman” proper. To me this is the true heart of the Bat-books and this issue is a perfect example. I will be buying the first trade of Batman & Robin if only to own this arc again. Now we had some lulls like when we had to explain ducard’s past but this arc has been nothing but great in my eyes.

On to this specific issue though were looking at the best of the bunch. This is the “picking up the pieces” issue that most arc’s have and in my opinion thats always the best. The Cover is wonderful and is my favorite of the series so far. and the inside art continues that quality.

Patrick Gleason continues his ability to show emotion better than most artists out there and not only have a unique style but also keep in tone with the DC universe as a whole.

The story is also amazing with Tomasi finally finishing the Nobody storyline and as always the characterization is the best part of the book.

honestly all I can say is this is one superhero book that I won’t be dropping anytime soon

In Short: Batman and Robin is the heart of the bat-books and thats never been more apparent than here, This book continues quality and is a must read

Story: 4 - Very Good

  1. I think Snyder’s Batman is 1 but that makes Batman and Robin 1A. Really nailed the review. Great emotion and getting to the core of the relationship between all these characters. Also nice to see Bruce and Alfred have a few lighter moments.
