For those of you that were disappointed in the ending of The Death of the Family over in Batman #17, I recommend you check out this comic.

After a long night of fighting crime, Batman and Robin get some much needed rest. They, along with Alfred, retire to their respective rooms and soon drift into deep sleep – and all three dream.

Bruce and Damian’s dreams are more nightmares and very telling about the state of their psyches and add even more depth to a relationship that at times borders on adversarial.

But it is Alfred’s dream that steals the show and makes this comic the perfect coda to Batman #17.

Upset over the lack of death in Death of the Family? Well Alfred has got your back and delivers the goods – two barrels worth – in what is sure to go down as one of the best splash pages of the year.

And that little smile Alfred gives is priceless. A great issue. Go read it.
