For me, the Dick Grayson part was one step beyond, the circus recruits even more so. Come on. Everything is being woven too tightly together, it’s BatMagnolia.

The randomness of the initial violence and its outcome with Dick and Bruce for me is important. One, Grayson, essentially faced death everyday as a performer while the other Bruce was coddled then blindsided and shattered. This backstory inject seriously gets into Phantom Menace territory. The grounding of the characters and their respective coping mechanisms are thrown out with this conspiracy claptrap.

Unless it’s all purposeful claptrap like Dick and Alfred were perpetrating on Bruce as in “The Untold Legend of Batman” miniseries. Then keep making it more ridiculous until it’s obvious Batman is still in the labyrinth drugged et al. Good show.

So.

I can’t tell really if Batman is still insane, but I’m not having this Grayson lineage hogwash. I guess I’ll know in 6 months or so. Still always a compelling read; it must be when you aren’t sure if it’s good or not without the complete arc.

Oh and that douche owl really rubbed me the wrong way. Leave the backwards time bat god totem alone!!!
