While the art and story telling are top notch as usual from Snyder and capullo. My main problem continues to be ive just read to many joker stories to be shocked by any thing he does now. Lets go down the list. In the killing joke shot and caused Barbara Gordon to be paralyzed, there is a strong suggestion of sexual foul play by joker taking photos of her. In death in the family he beats Jason Todd to a bloody pulp and blows him up. In no mans land he murders Jim Gordon wife. I get he is a great Batman foe to most. But im just not feeling this. My favorite Batman run of all time is Alan grant because he hardly use joker. Ive been loving Snyder run court of owls was nee and captivating to a man whos not a Batman fan. This while I agree with everyone is very well done story and art. Just isn’t hitting my spot.

Story: 4 - Very Good
Art: 5 - Excellent

  1. You hit on a major problem with Snyder’s arcs thus far. He’s hit every high point early and will burn out eventually. Batcave invaded, a long lost brother, Alfred abducted, the Joker, where does he go next?

  2. RIP was a Joker story that blew me away. This oddly is not. Loved everything else Snyder did with Bats so far, but this one isn’t resonating with me as of right now. Maybe I just need to read both issues back to back again, or maybe the next installment will make things go more in the way I like things to happen, we will just have to see.
