If you’re reading both this title, and Red Robin, start here.  It’s Tim and Stephanie arguing as Red Robin and Batgirl.  There were three different “guest artists” on this issue.  And while their styles were very similar, it made the issue look choppy and inconsistent.  Some great panels, some that were just on the better side of average.  Though, really, they only suffered comparatively.  Some of the pages looked much more like a Vertigo book than a Batman book.

Storywise, this read like an extension of the Red Robin/League Of Assassins storyline with dashes of Stephanie’s inner-monologue.  If you enjoy those two things, this crossover might be just the thing for you.

Story: 3 - Good
Art: 3 - Good

Comments

  1. I’ve enjoyed Red Robin.  Thanks for the heads-up on reading order.

  2. Was LEE GARBETT one of the artists?

  3. I did not like the multiple artists. I think it hurt the issue bad ..

  4. Agreed.  The story was solid but the art was real shakey.  I’ll have to go back to my LCS and get the Red Robin issue.

  5. @crippler: No problem.

    @gnanniv: I don’t remember.

    @AmirCat: Putting out an issue with multiple artists is, itself, an art.  You’ve got to have a reason to do it, aside from: "Oh shit, deadline!"

    @DorianP: What’d you think of RR?
