this was just fun!

what i love so far about avx is that it doesn’t take itself to serious. someone pointed out that the whole event has a very “silver age”/over the top tone to it and that is certainly true for this issue.

it seems like marvel is not tying to hide the fact that this issue is just pure fanboy service. we get two fun and entertaining fights with so much humor that i really had to laugh out loud a couple of times (thing’s comment on namor’s failed marriage attempts was definitely my quote of the week).

however, one thing that did bother me a little was the art. there were some beautiful panels (and overall i think immonen did a way better job) but i couldn’t help but notice that some panels seemed very rushed and almost sloppy (especially all the panels with just satellites, planets or laser beams in it seemed kinda lazy).

the book was not really “high litterature” or anything but it was entertaining as hell, and therefore, my pick of the week.
