After 9 issues of shocks and plot-twists, I’m starting to get numb to what’s going on here. The writing and art remain solid, but I’m starting to not care. Maybe it’s just me.

  1. I dunno. It may just be you. I thought the issue was solid, not the best by any stretch, but still solid. (4/5) I thought the art was a little rough in places, not quite up to what I have come to expect. I see they brought on an inker to help. Perhaps Kev Walker is falling behind and rushing, which I think may be having an impact on the storytelling.

    • A common complaint of mine…more and more work appears rushed throughout the industry 🙁

    • When I read a comic in issues, I’m not bothered by fill-ins and shortcuts and stuff as much because I have a warm comic in my hands. But if I read that same comic in trade, ugh, it’s not fun.

  2. I’m only familiar with the two Runaways ( and vaguely X-23). And I remain highly impressed that Dennis Hopeless continues to make me care about them with so little time each issue. Looking forward to issue 10.
