My first foray in AA and I have to say I’ll come back again.

Grummett’s a pro and Gage tells an engaging story while winking at and nudging the audience the whole time.

My biggest gripe is that the villain revealed his master plan too quickly. A slower burn would have been much more satisfying.

If you’re burnt out by AvX, give Avengers Academy a try.

  1. Not to nit, but the stuff with Briggs has been slowly boiling to this point, so it really wasn’t all that fast. We all knew he was going to end up the villain, we just didn’t know when or how it would happen until this issue.

  2. As a first issue with the character I agree it would feel very fast, but Briggs has been building to this since 14.1 where he was introduced.
