I suppose this might have been a good issue on its own, and Bendis is trying his best to make Fear Itself actually interesting, but I’m done. Like the event itself, this current tie-in run is stale and has overstayed its welcome by a couple of months now. I’m tired of the tie in, I’m tired of the Real World confessionals, I’m tired of the tease of something impactful coming when nothing ever does. This frustration is compounded by Bendis doing the same exact schtick in New Avengers, making it seem like I’ve been reading the same issue over and over again. The issue number reflects the volume as a whole, but it does feel like the 17th issue of Avengers reminiscing about the time Nazi’s attacked New York.

Story: 1 - Poor
Art: 2 - Average
