ATOMIC ROBO SHADOW FROM BEYOND TIME #1 (OF 5)

It was a couple of years ago now that a coworker and I had the fortune of running into Scott Wegener at Boston Comic Con, and striking up a conversation.  The man was so charming, without being pushy, that we persuaded the owners of our stores to buy a whole mess of signed copies of the first Atomic Robo #1.  We then sold them out within a couple of days.  Since then, I’ve been on board for every issue.

You don’t need to have read the previous two series to enjoy this issue.  Clevinger gives you all you need to know, without actually telling you anything at all.  He just lets the characters’ speech and actions speak for themselves.

This issue also has a preview of  Clevinger’s  Once Upon A Tiome In Mexico, which looks really cool, visually, but is written with all one-liners that don’t really connect to each other.

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 5 - Excellent
