The action of this issue is Wolverine & this squad trying to tie up the loose end of AoA Nightcrawler still bamfing around the 616 after he betrayed Wolvie & Unc. X-Force in the wrap up of Remender's run. The action isn't what made this book, though. It's the interpersonal relationships and character moments that make this book shine. Moments like She-Hulk guest starring in her lawyer-mode to help Jean-Paul deal with his immigration issues, Kyle & Cecila having a heart to heart during yoga, and Bobby trying to figure out exactly what Logan's plan is for AoA Kurt drew me into these characters' world as if they were real. And isn't that the point? To lose myself in a fantasy world for just a bit? Walta's almost painted art style beautifully communicated this mostly personal issue. Next up this series gets pulled into the X-Termination crossover and I just hope all of the characterization doesn't get thrown out the window.
