Angel Revelations has been a great mini. I’m an Angel fan, and I’ve been waiting for something like this. The series takes place during his boarding school days, right when he gets his wings. It’s an exploration on how Warren deals with his new mutant status, along with High School alienation.

Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa shows that Warren, though being rich and spoiled (to a certain degree) is a good person who has always been a hero. Warren always sticks up for the outcast and the little guy and is not afraid to take the less popular side.

Adam Pollina’s art is fantastic. He’s had a great progression in his style, as most great artists due. I haven’t seen a series with him on it in awhile, and it’s good to see him back and at the top of his game.

If you haven’t been reading this, and can’t find the back issues, you should definitely pick it up in trade.

Story: 5 - Excellent
