Incognito #2
Review by androidmoser:
WRITER: ED BRUBAKER
PENCILS: SEAN PHILLIPS
COVER BY: SEAN PHILLIPS
Price: $3.50
I love Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillip's Criminal, but the first issue of their new superhero series Incognito was just OK. Yeah, it was great compared to a lot of comics out there, but it felt like it was just another issue of Criminal with a few superhero tropes thrown in to spice things up. Except it didn't work. The superhero stuff felt out of place for an issue of Criminal, and it wasn't different enough from Criminal to create its own noir-superhero identity. All that's changed with the second issue. This time around, the superheroic and noir elements are well balanced, and with the introductions and world-building out of the way, the story can begin to gain some momentum. This series is well on its way to becoming a unique work in its own right.

Is this going to be an ongoing series? Is it a maxi or a mini?

@Robby I think it's a 6-issue mini, but they're keeping the door open for more minis in the future. Especially since the response to the book seems to be pretty positive. 2nd printing of the 1st issue and all.
