Amazing Spidey and the new Hobgoblin say a few funny things to each other during their battle at Horizon Labs towards the very end of #649, but that is pretty much the only funny or even entertaining thing that happened in this entire $3.99 issue.

Don’t even get me started on this art style either!!  I just don’t think goofy looking goes good with superhero comics, not even Spidey.  If this guy came to work to draw Calvin & Hobbs comics, he’d be the man for the job, but this style just doesn’t go well with superhero comics!!  I’m sure he’s been at it a long time because I know that he’s popular with a lot of Marvel fans, but in my opinion, he sucks.  I sure hope he never comes over to DC because that’s my favorite publisher.

If I don’t enjoy #650, then I’m jumping over to tradewaiting if I continue to read Amazing Spiderman AT ALL during Big Time.  How long until they start a whole new status quo again?  Two years?  Three?  FOUR?!  Total bummer, guys!!  I was just starting to really get into this series with Brand New Day!!  They shouldn’t have ended it yet.  They obviously weren’t ready yet, in my opinion…
