This issue of Spider-man continues to build on the story.  It has a reveal from the last issue, which mislead any one whom ( well there may be those whom knew, I didn’t)  read the last issue. I am enjoying the way Joe is misleading and feeding the reader little bits of information. The issue is a relatively quick read. After finishing the story, I have to side with the camp that doesn’t believe it was Spider-man beaten in such a manner. The story arc will turn out to be a fun experience or a disappointment based on how Joe has set up his events within the story. As a fan of Micheal Lark and Stephan Gaudiano, both continue to deliver.

The back up story of Kaine was a bit better because it focused more on the issues with the main protagonist in the story. Max and Joe have some great work in this issue, and  Fabio has contributed some great color work as well. I really enjoyed the third two  pager story. It pokes fun at comics in a fun way, and is a great counter balance to the serious tone taken through entire issue.

Story: 3 - Good
Art: 4 - Very Good
