The beginning arc of the Grim Hunt, is exactly like the title. The dialogue is well written, story is entertaining if you can stomache a comic like Spider-man taking a dark path. I loved it!!! Michael Lark and Stephan Gaudiano’s contribution to the book is fitting given their excellent job on Gotham Central. I wasn’t sure about their art given the title, but I am glad to have taken a chance. When reading the book it really felt as if each character had their own voice.

The second story was a little disappointing given the first story. The art work was excellent and graphic. I just think the story could have left  me as the reader with a little more to fill in with my own imagination. For example, I didn’t think I needed to see Kraven take out the entire mob gang. The art was great, but the character has been built up to the point where it was nothing less than what I would expect. I will give it a chance though because it involves Kaine.

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 4 - Very Good
