The Gauntlet is becoming a very intricate…uhhh…web of Spidey plots.   Much like the first year of One More Day, every arc folds back on the previous arcs.  So far, it’s made for a lot of fun reading, mostly because it always seems like it’s going to be too much, and too complex, and that it will all collapse into some miserable failure of convoluded plots.  But, thus far, it hasn’t.

The various Spider-staff writers appear to be having fun piggybacking their story arcs, bringing villains in and out of the story.  And the artists appear to be enjoying making  retro-Spidey art.

This issue brings to a close Slott’s Mysterio arc, and sets a variety of red herrings in place for upcoming arcs.  I’m enjoying the hell out of this series right now.  You should be, too.
