It looks like I’m going to need to drop Amazing Spider-Man.  The art in this issue is terrible.  The muted cartoony pop art approach seems sloppy, which may be intentional, but it doesn’t work for me.  I would gather that Azacei is a big fan of Paul Pope, and Mike Allred, but he utilizes Greg Land’s photo referencing techniques. It’s a very abrupt departure from the previous arcs, and I just don’t enjoy it.  It bugs me so much, it made the story unreadable to me, which is a shame, as it seems a great concept.
