As someone who’s not a huge Hulk fan, I never picked up the Hulk one-shots, and Hulk Family issues that led up to this story.  So, Miss Hulk Jr.  of the (this name has me gagging) gynosaurs, comes back in time to recruit Jennifer Walters for a mission.

There’s a fair bit of hokiness in this issue.  What I thought was a Tallus turns out to be an whiny, upgraded Tomogatchi.  Imagine a shrill, even more annoying Marvin the paranoid Android.  In fact, most of the future scenes are more unintentionally funny than interesting.  A world where men and women are divided into two camps that don’t get along…ooooooooooooh.  But the story in the present is average to decent.    The art…well, there are a couple of questionable anatom panels, where an arm shouldn’t naturally bend to that position.  But the colors are pretty decent.

Story: 3 - Good
Art: 3 - Good

  1. "Gynosaurs?"  Really??  That’s a terribly, tragically, inapporpriately, funny name!  I think I like it!  Now, if only the comic itself will prove to be entertaining as well…

  2. @rwpos:  I know.  I shook my head in disbelief at that one.
