This continues to be the most fun Marvel Team book being put out. Fraction has the perfect balance of humor and plot in this issue. A lot of things happening, but not overwhelmingly so.
A couple of the comments on the pre-review page mentioned this looking a little Cheesecakey, and it does look that way. But, Domino, Lady Deathstrike, Madeline Pryor, Lady Mastermind, Spiral, Emma Frost, The Stepford Cukoos, Aurora, and (awesome other female character not named to keep from spoilering) in one book, without it feeling like "oh, look, girls" is awesome. And, hey, there's Northstar for those not interested in Marvel Chicks.
This is also the best colored X-book this month. The same shadows that plagued the X-Factor and Legacy books this week is done here, but is more grey than black, making it much less obtrusive to the eye. Ponsor should be sending out his color pallete choices to the other colorists at muddy Marvel with, perhaps, a note about subtlety and nuance.

Was the Northstar comment some kind of vague joke?

I think that's a good point that, though Land makes me roll my eyes a lot, the story and characterizations for all these women were strong enough that I didn't feel like the book was going "oh, look, girls", as you say.
