  1. Hater!

  2. Just speaking the truth!

  3. I don’t know Champ I think you’re contradicting yourself.  You say the Doomsday fight has no importance to the overall plot, but also say "again signalling how different from Superman this group really is."  I think that’s an extrememly important point, driven home by the panel of a dismayed looking Supes and Supes-girl and while I agree the art is certainly no Gary Frank, a 2 seems harsh.

    Swhat I think anyways.

  4. @CAM: maybe it’s a contradiction, but I was more complaining about using Doomsday as a plot device for the story. Why not use someone else other then this tired and overused 90’s villain? We could have someone like Bizarro (who uses Kryptonite! Hello!) or Bizarro (although I believe he is coming up soon…) to show how different these Kandor people are.

I just think wasting a whole issue on a big fight just to show how brutal fighters the Kandor people are was just a waste. Filler if you will.

  5. Nobody commenting on the tease that Nightwing could possibly be Superboy?  I mean, I’m sure that’s just Johns trying to throw us off, but come on!  Tactile Telekinesis?  Cocky attitude?  A kid?  Sounds like Conner to me.

  6. Right on, Champion! Good review, yet again. (I love tactile telekinesis!)

  7. I don’t think that Doomsday was meant to be an actual "kill Superman" threat.  I’ll cover this in my review later so as not to release too many spoilers here, but I believe he was just used to test the Kryptonians response to this threat.
