This was my favorite book of the week.

There have been a few issues that have been too light on content and seemed like I wasn't getting $3.50 worth, but overall it is like you said in your review.

 Have you read Solomon Kane?

I have other Solomon Kane minis, but for some reason I didn't like the new #1 that much.  Do you think I should give it another chance?

Oh, by the way, I agree with your comment about the light content in some (most) issues.  The creative team seems to want to not make things too deep, or only has a few slim story ideas, so some issues whiz by too quickly.  One of the reasons I wouldn't recommend this series as the absolute greatest thing ever.  The writing is solid, but it is not a Brubaker / Miller / Morrison / Ennis / your favorite writer story where the book really leaves you thinking and blown away when you are done.

Exactly.

I've never read any Solomon Kane until someone recommended it on here. So with no real context, I picked up the first three issues and they are nicely written. They are slow but have intriguing character interactions. I will have to finish off this arc before I recommend anything, but I am impressed.
